4 Tips to Reverse Sun Damage

4 Tips to Reverse Sun Damage

When you were young you didn’t realize the damage that the sun could do to your skin, but all these years later you wish that you had taken better care of your skin. Not to worry because you can reverse sun damage by taking a few simple steps. Let’s take a closer look.

1. Keep sun damage from getting worse.

Before you look for improvement, it’s important to keep the problem from getting any worse. Wear broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen and reapply every few hours. Choose an SPF that’s at least 15 or higher. Wear a hat and sunglasses and try and stay out of the sun during peak hours.

2. Exfoliate weekly.

Now make sure that you’re putting your best face forward by exfoliating at least once per week. Choose a gentle exfoliating face wash to apply each week.

3. Reduce dark spots.

Whether you call them liver spots, dark spots, or age spots, they’re often a sign of sun damage. Try Zax’s Original Darkspot Cream to naturally lighten brown spots on your skin.

4. Visit a dermatologist.

Professional laser treatments can remove skin blotchiness and discoloration, reducing the effects of aging. Photodynamic therapy – laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) are treatments available at your dermatologist that can reduce the effects of sun damage on your skin.

Just because you have sun damage doesn’t mean you can’t do something about it.
