4 Weird Beauty Tricks That Actually Work

Sometimes your beauty routine just doesn’t cut it. Maybe your skin looks tired, ruddy or somehow not up to par or maybe you’ve got a beauty issue that needs to be resolved. That’s when a good old fashioned weird beauty trick comes in handy. Whether you’re trying to beat the bloat or you’re in the market for a quick anti-aging trick, here are a few ideas to consider:

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is all the rage right now and with good reason, it’s great for your skin and it has so many handy uses. Coconut oil is great to use as a body lotion, just don’t apply too much or it becomes an oily mess. It’s also a great eye makeup remover, especially for that stubborn eyeliner that makes you look like you have cat eyes.

2. Black tea

Black tea is a natural astringent that works wonders on your skin. Brew a tea bag and then refrigerate until completely cooled. Splash tea water on your face and don’t rinse off. Instead, pat dry. Black tea is a great home remedy to make your skin look young and vibrant. Green tea extract is another great remedy, found in topical creams and used to reduce facial redness.

3. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a great way to beat the bloat that can show up in your face without warning. Mix 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar with 4 ounces of water and drink up. Continue each day until you feel your bloat diminishing.

4. Dry brushing

Dry brushing is an age old tool to counter cellulite. Start at the ankles and, using a natural bristled brush, begin to work from the ankles up the legs in short strokes. Work on areas of cellulite, breaking up tight composites of fat all over the body.
