Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of juicing. Juicing is all the rage right now from prepackaged juices to DIY recipes, it’s everywhere. But are fresh juices worth all the money and effort? Yes, juicing is really good for your skin because it extracts all the water and nutrients from fruits and vegetables so that your skin is better able to absorb a large amount of them. Since juices don’t contain the fibrous portion of produce, you can fit more fruits and vegetables into a small amount of juice.
With tens of thousands of manmade chemicals polluting our environment, water, and food, your liver is often burdened. It’s the main organ for processing environmental toxins out of your body. But when it’s taxed, your skin helps with the process of detoxification. This can cause skin inflammation in the form of dermatitis, eczema, liver spots, and psoriasis. In fact, some people that regularly juice, may notice that at first their skin starts to breakout or form rashes. This is actually your skin pushing out toxins from your body and it’s one of the many benefits of juicing.
Juicing provides your skin with a concentrated shot of cellular cleansing, cleaning out both your liver and your skin. All the water from fruits and vegetables also provides a great source of hydration, which is always beneficial to your skin. Adding cucumber, carrots, kale, celery, and beets are especially fantastic for your skin.
Think about adding a fresh juice to your diet everyday, especially on those days when you know you’re going to fall short on fruits and vegetables. After you’ve been juicing for a while, you’ll notice that your skin is more glowing and vibrant. However, don’t go overboard juicing and forget to eat other food groups especially healthy fats like coconut oil and avocado, which are also fantastic for your skin.
