Facials aren’t just a relaxing luxurious experience, they’re also good for your skin. Think of them as a detox for all the junk that builds up in and on top of your skin. But while they may be the royal treatment, they’re also pricey. If you have the money and want to indulge your skin, the professionals say getting facials once a month is really good for maintenance. But not to worry if monthly facials are out of your budget because you can still have great skin by taking care of it at home. Here’s how:
1. Cleanse daily.
Start and end each day by cleansing your skin to remove any built up gunk. Take the time to massage a gentle cleanser around the eyes, forehead, and along the jaw bone.
2. Tone it up.
Toner is great for helping your skin to better absorb your moisturizer. Plus it’s refreshing. Toner also helps even out oily or combination skin.
3. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
In the morning, use a daily moisturizer that contains SPF and in the evening use a heavier night repair formula. You may also want to consider using a skin serum on your skin overnight.
Once a week, exfoliate your face to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate new skin cells. Cleanse your skin with a gentle exfoliating cleanser and then pat dry. Top with a moisturizer.
Just because you don’t get regular facials doesn’t mean you can’t have great skin.
