The key to good skin is maintaining a healthy skincare regimen. And while it’s relatively simple to take care of your skin at home, staying in a routine is more difficult when you’re traveling. This is especially true if you don’t have all your essential skincare tools on hand.
When traveling, you’re allowed to bring one quart-sized toiletry bag along. Separate the bag from your carry on luggage to be screened at security. Each liquid, aerosol, gel, cream or paste is limited to 3.4 ounces or 100 ml. Items that are larger than this must be packed in checked baggage instead of carry on. For ease of use once you get to your destination, ensure that each item is individually labeled.
Tips for Maintaining Your Skin While Traveling:
1. Drink plenty of water.
Air travel especially can deplete your skin of moisture. Ensure that you’re constantly drinking water throughout the day so you don’t end up dehydrated.
2. Cleanse and moisturize your skin.
Don’t forget to cleanse and moisturize your skin daily while traveling. Cleanse your skin every morning and evening followed by a moisture treatment. In the morning, use a moisturizer with built-in SPF and in the evening, use a thicker, night moisturizer.
Don’t skimp on skincare while traveling.
