5 Tips for Glowing Skin

We all want glowing skin and a bright complexion. But overtime aging and sun damage can make your skin look dry, ruddy, and uneven. But you can impact your skin tone. Specifically, you can brighten your skin naturally by ensuring that your daily skin routine is loaded with these pampering rituals.

5 Tips for Glowing Skin

1. Wear sunscreen everyday. Sun damage can wreak havoc on your complexion causing freckles, age spots, burns, and other signs of uneven skin tone. Choose a high SPF, broad spectrum sunscreen. Additionally, make sure that your daily moisturizer also has SPF. 2. Include a healthy skin routine. Want glowing skin? Make sure you abide by a healthy skin routine. Thoroughly cleanse your face each day and exfoliate your skin to remove oil and dirt. Moisturize using a product that’s appropriate for your skin type. 3. Drink water and eat a healthy diet. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And try and eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible (especially those that are high in vitamins A,C, and E). Supplement your diet with omega 3 fatty acids as well. 4. Add in honey. Honey helps brighten skin while acting as a moisturizing agent. It also has antibacterial properties that fade age spots and uneven skin tone. Apply a thin layer of pure, organic honey to your face and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water. It removes dead skin cells making your skin appear fresher and brighter. Repeat once per week. 5. Apply aloe vera gel. Aloe vera gel can reduce hyperpigmentation, which is one of the main causes of uneven skin tone. Apply the gel (which can be squeezed directly out of the aloe vera leaf) to your skin and leave it on for 30 minutes. Do this daily for two weeks. You may also want to include a natural dark spot corrector cream made with aloe. Sara Novak is a Natural Health Care Expert for Zax Health. Follow her on Twitter at @sarafnovak.
