How to Cover Up a Facial Bruise

Bruises can be a real eye sore. First, the bruise turns reddish as the blood appears under the skin. Then after a few days the color changes to blue, purple, or even blackish. It can take up to 14 days for the bruise to turn a yellowish color as it begins to heal. Depending on where the bruise is on your body, especially if it happens to be on your face, you may want to cover it up. If you have a big event or you just don’t want others to see your wound, here are some tips for covering it up. 1. Move the healing process along. First and foremost, take all the steps necessary to help your bruise heal quickly. Zax’s Original Bruise Cream speeds up the healing process with the help of natural ingredients like witch hazel and arnica. 2. Cover it up with concealer. Choose a yellow-based color to counteract the dark blue or purple color of the bruise. Dab a few dots of the concealer around the bruise and then gently rub it in. If it’s still tender, try not to rub it too hard. You may also want to buff the concealer into the skin using a smaller eye makeup brush. 3. Add in foundation. Add a yellow toned foundation on top of the concealer. Use a foundation brush to evenly apply to the entire face. Dab the foundation around the bruise gently.
