Pamper Dry Winter Skin: 6 Tips for Washing and Moisturizing

Cold weather and low humidity cause drier air and as a result, it can suck the moisture out of your skin. But with a little extra care, you can maintain a glow even in the winter time. 1. Wash with lukewarm water. When it’s cold outside, it can be tempting to take a hot bath or shower. But hot water can suck the moisture out of your skin. Instead, wash with luke warm water which doesn’t leech moisture from your skin like hot water. 2. Moisturize immediately after bathing. Make sure you moisturize your skin immediately after bathing to replace the moisture that you’ve lost. Additionally, you can coat your skin with coconut oil 5 minutes before bathing to add an extra layer of moisture protection. 3. Wear scarves to protect your skin from harsh winter wind.
